How to Measure Your Ring Size
Two accurate methods to find your perfect fit
1Measure an Existing Ring
Best method for accuracy:
- Find a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably
- Place the ring on a ruler and measure the inside diameter
- Measure in millimeters for best accuracy
- Match the diameter to our size chart above
Quick Reference:
- 16.5mm diameter = US Size 6
- 17.3mm diameter = US Size 7
- 18.2mm diameter = US Size 8
2Measure Your Finger
If you don't have an existing ring:
- Cut a strip of paper or string about 6 inches long and 1/4 inch wide
- Wrap it around the base of your finger (not too tight, not too loose)
- Mark where the paper/string overlaps with a pen
- Measure the length in millimeters with a ruler
- Divide by 3.14 to get the diameter
- Match the diameter to our size chart
Ring Sizing Tips
Important considerations for the perfect fit
- Measure at the end of the day: Fingers are slightly larger in the evening due to heat and activity
- Temperature matters: Cold fingers are smaller, warm fingers are larger. Measure at room temperature
- Consider ring width: Wider bands (5mm+) may need a half size larger for comfort
- Measure multiple times: Take 3-4 measurements at different times and use the average
- Different fingers, different sizes: Don't assume all fingers are the same size
- Between sizes? Choose the larger size for comfort, especially for everyday wear
