Moissanite Double-Row Bypass Ring – 1.2ct DEW Adjustable
$69.00 USD
Two rows of graduated round moissanites slide past each other on this open bypass ring, building a broad band of sparkle across the front of the finger. Each end of the band carries five prong-set round brilliants that grow from small at the tip to larger at the centre, and the two rows lie side by side where they overlap, so the ten stones together read as one wide, slightly offset strip. The shank behind is a slim, smooth band. Because the ends do not meet, the ring is open and can be gently eased for a comfortable fit – it is sold as one adjustable size. The stones are lab-grown moissanite in D color with VVS clarity, approx. 1.2ct DEW in total, set in 925 sterling silver plated in 18K white gold (rhodium finish), weighing 2.6g. Moissanite has a refractive index of 2.65 versus a diamond's 2.42, so it returns more fire, and at 9.25 on the Mohs scale it is hard enough for everyday wear. Expert take: open rings should be adjusted slowly and only a little at a time – press the ends together or apart with your fingers rather than pliers, and avoid adjusting back and forth repeatedly, which fatigues the silver. Worn on the index finger it becomes a modern statement; on the ring finger it works as a sparkling right-hand ring. A confident birthday, Valentine's Day or just-because gift.
